About the Founder
Vasudha Roy
Vasudha Roy is a student at the Tanglin Trust School in Singapore who has a sustained interest in the field of Economics and how it affects underserved communities. This understanding of the inequitable distribution of resources has led to Vasudha’s volunteering experience with the Student for Student initiative, where she taught English, Math, and Hindi to a group of students at a government school. Vasudha has extended her volunteering endeavors through her work with the Willing Hearts Soup Kitchen in Telok Kurau, Singapore, where she supports operations for the organization addressing food insecurity in the country. She has explored the issue of food insecurity further as a participant of the Stanchart Ventures program organized by the Standard Chartered Bank, where she worked on developing a sustainable solution to make food security accessible.
Given her passion for Economics, she was also selected to join the Economics Honors Society at her school, where she explores contemporary concepts in business and finance. In addition to this, Vasudha is also a member of the AV Club at her school, where she provides support with management and logistical operations of technical equipment pertaining to audio for the school.
