About the Project

The Khilaana Initiative is a social project that, specifically in the Indian context, aims to draw attention to the significance of food security in economic and environmental policies. Through this work, the initiative intends to redefine how nutrition is perceived in economics and sustainability while also impacting lives through a multi-pronged strategy. This multi-pronged strategy takes a comprehensive approach to how food security in the country is understood and dealt with and thus includes content development for promoting awareness and engagement through indirect and direct donations..

Thus, the project examines food security, policy, and sustainability in the context of India. It attempts to understand how this pressing concern materializes itself in the real world, as well as analyze how policymaking initiatives and processes reflect these realities and the disparities within them. Additionally, the project also focuses on the environment and how sustainable development methods can be achieved both for the welfare of the general population and the underserved communities within them, as well as for our larger ecosystems.
